The MRC collection at the NMB in Basel comprises several sub-collections:

 

Collection of planktic foraminifers (washed residues):

• Collection of foraminiferal residues (63µm to 1000µm).
• Collection of coarse fractions (>1000µm).
• Collection of bulk sediment (small volumes only).

Collection of radiolarians (strew-slides and radiolarian suspensions).

Collection of calcareous nannofossils (smear-slides and nannofossil suspensions).

Collection of diatoms (smear-slides).

Collection of bolboforma (preparations with picked specimens).
