Material prepared for Basel Museum

Note:
A number of the samples listed below was used for setting up the early standard work of Walter H. Blow (1969) for the plankton foraminiferal stratigraphy and correlation, and so is important source and reference material to zonal assemblages !

1.) Soldado well 366 drilled (Trinidad), screens 5770-6144'.
2.) Cretaceous foraminiferal samples from Northern and Central Range of Trinidad (2 lists), with some identifications by J.-P. Beckmann.
3.) Submarex cores: Assemblage slides (2 lists) (3 trays: A, B, C); Residues in glass phials (3 boxes), 2 lists. For locations see Bolli et al., 1968, 2 core residues of 4590 and 4600 cm. See also Hay, W.W. and Boudreaux, J.E. (1968 and 1969) for more information on Submarex cores.

4.) Vema samples from Stations V12-99, V15-172, V16-204, V26-119, Samples partly washed, partly unwashed, are in plastic bags; samples from the 3 stations situated in the Vema Fracture Zone are listed on a separate sheet. 1 box. Information on the 3 stations are given on attached sheets. For positions of cores check the LDEO Deep-Sea core repository database at http://ingrid.ldgo.columbia.edu/SOURCES/.LDEO/.Deep_Sea_Core/, or listed under the more general website http://www.ldeo.columbia.edu/res/fac/CORE_REPOSITORY/RHPSiteMap.html

5.) Chain 61 Station 171, North Atlantic 27°N, 39° W. Piston cores 20cm - 720cm according to attached list. The collection consists according to the list of unwashed material, washed residues in assemblage slides, glass phials and plastic bags and assemblage slides with selected planktonic foraminifera. Trays A, B, C.

7.) Jamaica. ER residues in glass phials (see list). ER (E. Robinson) and PJ (Peter Jung) assemblage slides (see list). Tray A,B. Maps, sections, notes, correspondemce with ER. List of samples collected by Peter Jung, washed 1969 in Zürich. See also other collections from E. Robinson.

A copy of the guide of Maldonado, et al. (1956) is deposited together with a list of samples taken by Hans M. Bolli. However, most of the mentioned samples could until present not be found in the collections of H.M. Bolli, with the xeception of a single washed residue from Chapapote Formation type locality (Upper Eocene), which is deposited in K3/A165/185).
