Vema core V12-99

Six samples and foraminiferal assemblage slides (size fractions 140µm-230µm, and >230µm) from Vema piston core V12-99 (Cariaco Basin) were found in the collections of John B. Saunders, together with core samples from site P6603-23 (Venezuela Basin). Vema core 12-99 has almost the same position as DSDP Site 147 (Leg 15, see Init Rep. DSDP vol. 15, page 170-171), and most probably was rised or investigated as a pre-cruise site survey for DSDP Site 147. Samples are from 260cm, 300cm, 340cm, 380cm, 430cm, and from 460cm.
