Collection of Pirkenseer, C., Spezzaferri, S., and Berger, J.-P. (2010)

Study collection to the publication of Pirkenseer, C., Spezzaferri, S., and Berger, J.-P. (2010). Palaeoecology and biostratigraphy of the Paleogene Foraminifera from the southern Upper Rhine Graben and the influence of reworked planktonic Foraminifera. Palaeontographica. Beiträge zur Naturgeschichte der Vorzeit. Abteilung A: Paläozoologie - Stratigraphie, vol. 293:1-93. This publication emerged from the PhD thesis of Pirkenseer, C. (2007) about microfossils of the Southern Rhine-Graben, of which a reprint is also deposited alongside with the collection. For ostracod collections to Pirkenseer and Berger (2011) see further below.

The remaining washed residues from the Allschwil 2, that were used in this study, are deposited under the collections of Hermann Fischer (Bohrung Allschwil 2). A list of the cored samples from Allschwil 2 indicating the cored levels is included with the collection. Lists for foraminifers (pdf, xls, txt) and ostracods (pdf, xls, txt) indicating the number on the Fema-cells (=SEM-Stub No. in the original PhD thesis of Pirkenseer), species determinations, lithology, and references to the illustrations with NMB catalogue numbers are included as well. Donation to the NMB from 6 June 2011.

Collection of Pirkenseer, C. and Berger, J.-P. (2011)

Study collection to the publication of Pirkenseer, C. and Berger, J.P. (2011). Paleogene Ostracoda from the southern Upper Rhine Graben: Taxonomy, palaeoecology and palaeobiogeography. Palaeontographica. Beiträge zur Naturgeschichte der Vorzeit. Abteilung A: Paläozoologie - Stratigraphie, vol. 295, 149 p. Also this publication emerged from the PhD thesis of Pirkenseer, C. (2007) about microfossils of the Southern Rhine-Graben.

A collection of Fema-cells with isolated ostracods, benthonic and planktic foraminifers from the drilling Allschwil 2 (labelled with A) and drilling Wittenheim17 (labelled with DP-202). Isolated specimens in Fema-cells labelled with "Forams" or with "Ostracods" are gold coated (prepared for study in the SEM) and are illustrated in the publication (see lists below). Specimens in the "general" Fema cells (labelled with A-xxx for Allschwil 2) are uncoated. A reprint of the article with foraminiferal plates is deposited with the collection.

The remaining washed residues from the Allschwil 2, that were used in this study, are deposited under the collections of Hermann Fischer (Bohrung Allschwil 2). A list of the cored samples from Allschwil 2 indicating the cored levels is included with the collection.
