Collection of recent marine beach sands collected by Fritz Weber from various places in Java during the early 1920ties (ex raw materials colln L. Hottinger). For sample numbers and sampling locations see the Card catalogue of rocks and fossils collected by F. Weber (1923-1924), that is deposited in the geological archive. See also the maps archive of F. Weber with maps showing detailed sampling locations from Java: Samples labelled as MJ are from central Java ("Mittel-Java"), samples labelled as SJ are from southern Java (Süd-Java). Few samples are samples older than Recent (e.g. the "Globigerina Sandmergel" from Djenoe, Rembang; and the "Kalk mit kleinen Lepidocyklinen", Miozän, Bohrung Rembang).
