SLG 25: Study collection to Müller-Merz, E., and Oberhänsli, H. (1991). Eocene bathyal and abyssal benthic foraminifera from a south Atlantic transect at 20-30° S. Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology 83:117-171.

This is the study collection (SLG 25 = "MRC Foram-Begleitsammlung") to type collection (TSL 12) cited under section 1.) further above. The collection contains a large set of washed residues, unprocessed chips in DSDP sample bags, picked foraminifera in slides from DSDP Sites 19 and 20 (DSDP Leg 3), Site 357 (DSDP Leg 39), Site 363 (DSDP Leg 40), and Sites 522 and 523 (DSDP Leg 73).

 

To this study is also associated the publication of Oberhänsli, H., Müller-Merz, E. and Oberhänsli, R. (1991). Eocene paleoceanographic evolution at 20-30° S in the Atlantic Ocean. Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology 83:173-215.

Additional washed material in plastic boxes (partly various size fractions from the same sample) to the PhD dissertation.

 

Note: A structural plasticine model of Pseudorotalia schroeteriana (illustrated on Plate 6 in Müller-Merz (1980) is deposited in the collection of foraminiferal models of Reichel and Hottinger.
