Collections of Lukas Hottinger assembled during micropaleontological colloquia and excursions

Instituts-Exkursion GPI 1955 - The northern border of the Pyreneans - Aquitaine. 27 September - 13 October 1955).

This excursion (8-15 September, 1957) visited numerous locations in SW-France, from where mainly Hans Schaub, but also Lukas Hottinger, Christos Kapellos recovered much of their collections, and that led to the stratigraphic schemes for the Paleogene. There is a detailed and well illustrated excursion guide including maps and sections to many of the sites represented in the collections of Hans Schaub and Lukas Hottinger.

Names of sections and areas include: Belvès, Pointe St. Anne (Hendaye), Bidart & Biarritz; Bas Adour: Peyrehorade-St. Marie de Gosse-Barthélemy, Biron, Orthez; jean Gazé: bergouey-Gaas; Chalosse de Montfort: Gibret. Gan-Ancot-berdoulou-Bosdarros. Aurignac. Petites Pyrénées, Fabas. Coustouge, Alet, Montolieux, Moussoulens, Mt. Cayla, Bastennes. Hautes Pyrénées: Orignac.

(5th ?) Colloque de Micropaléontologie 1957 - Aquitaine. Also this excursion (8-15 September, 1957) visited numerous locations in SW-France, from where mainly Hans Schaub, but als o Lukas Hottinger recovered their materials. It includes localities araound Dax, Biarritz, Pyreblanque, Chalosse, Bastennes, Pau, Pont Labau, Donzacq (Carriere de la Tuilerie), Jeangazé, Ainse Saint Nicolas and others. The excursion guide briefly illustrates the micropaleontological content of the outcrops in maps and stratigraphic schemes, and is useful for the documentation of the collections assemblede from these areas.
Note: In the guide stops are annotated, from where Lukas Hottinger [it was Lukas Hottinger's copy] has picked up samples.

14th European Micropaleontological Colloquium 1975 - Romania:
Samples are deposited in the collection of Lukas Hottinger (in compactus K3/C, precise locations of samples currently unclear, 17.10.2012). An introcuction to the regional geology and stratigraphy is given in the Excursion Guide of the 14the Micropaleontological Colloquium (1975). Collected sample numbers are annotated in Lukas Hottinger's copy of the guide deposited in the collection.

Excursion to Southern Spain Subbétiques (Province of Alicante: Aspe and Agost sections), 1992:
Washed residues (Cuisian nummulites) from Aspe and Agost sections, field numbers 92130-92151. These samples are interesting for cross-reference to the studied and illustrated nummulites and assilines described in the dissertation of Isuman (1983).
