S-series = Gross-Schlieren section, e.g.

S1-S279 = Basal series including clay-schist with quartzites, sandstones, and limey sandstone or marls with globotruncanids.

S280-S = Fallhörnli series with small Discocyclina (=Gubler-series).

S-S = Schoni series with small radial nummulites and discocyclines.

S - S = Neubrüchli series with granulated nummulites, assilines and discocyclines.

 

Rb = Rossboden series, portion from the Neubrüchli-series.

Ro = Rossboden series (Basis of Schlierengrat) = Basal series.

f and g series = Basal part of Feuerstein series.

SE = Schlattrüti, eastern part.

St = Schlattrübi, Stadschieferschuppe

SM = Schlattrübi: "wild" middle section.

SW = Schlattrübi: Leimen and Flysch in the NW portion.

SN = ? Schlattrübi, northern part ?

K = Kirchhofen quarry (nearby Sarnen).

G = Feuersteingrat-series, from Helvetikum until basal Schlieren series.

Sp = Sattelpass.

WF = Wasserfallen
