- Included:
- List with identifications to species (to be compared with
the Newton List given below).
- A complete list of T.L.L. benthic and planktic foraminiferal
species by T.L.L. code with translation of T.L.L. codes to scientific
names, around the year 1956 (this list was also found in Box
65 of the Kugler archive in file "Miscellaneous papers by
Bullen Newton", and subsequently called "The Newton
List"). Compare species names with the "Washington
Zonal Chart" given below.
- A copy of the "Washington Zonal Chart": This
document was found in Box 53 of the Kugler archive in file Correspondence
Hans Bolli. It is a compilation of Cretaceous through Cenozoic
foraminiferal zonal markers and their internal codes used by
T.L.L. in 1956 with cross-references to the scientific names,
that were later published in the plates in Loeblich, Tappan et
al. (1957). Studies in Foraminifera, U.S.N.M. Bulletin 215. Note
in this context, that in publications only scientific names were
given, while sample numbers in museum collections are frequently
labelled with internal T.L.L. codes.
- Correlation scheme of foraminiferal zones by J. Frampton (late 1980ies).
- For cross-correlation of Shell zones and Texaco foraminiferal
zonal codes from the Miocene and Oligocene see also Fieldbook
#50 from Hans G. Kugler (1959-1960).
- Reprint to Brönnimann, P. (1952). Globigerinidae
from the upper Cretaceous (Cenomanian-Maestrichtian) of Trinidad,
B.W.I. Bulletins of American Paleontology, vol. 34, No. 140,
pp. 1-61. is deposited alongside this collection. Note:
Although topotypes are mentioned to be deposited in the
Museum of Natural History, Basel no topotype collection to
