How to use this collection guide
The collections guide presents itself in a window with five frames: A title frame (upper left window), a location frame (upper right small window), a contents frame (middle left), the information frame (the large window to the right), and a navigation frame (lower left, yellow window, see figure).
A session starts with a survey on the contents frame. Links from the contents frame direct the user to the large information frame, which provides the details about a particular collection. Information about the physical location of a collection can be read from the location frame after clicking on the link Standort. Please note, that the physical location of a collection may be different in the future; the information given here refers to the datum of the latest modification indicated in the title frame). Literature references to a particular collection appear in the title frame after clicking on the references link (in the present version, references open in a new window). The red entry "Standort:" behind the literature references indicate the location, where a copy of the reference can be found in the museum. With the literature references often a back-link to the collection is given, which opens in the information frame (again, in the present version this link creates a new window).
The navigation frame is a tool to change from one contents frame to another. At present, there exist three possibilities to search the collections:
